About Us
My name is Joyce Gincley, and I have 6 cats and 1 dog, that keeps me busy when I am not taking care of other people's pets.
I have had cats most of my adult life and have been learning dog behavior for the last year, with the raising of my lab mix, Sherlock who is really a handful. I love animals; all animals, wild and domestic and I consider them precious and part of an "extended" family. My pets are my priority and I don't leave home on a Saturday or Sunday without taking Sherlock, my constant companion, when weather permits, to run errands or visit friends.
I enjoy meeting new people and their pets and I started this business because I saw a real need in the area, and for the love of animals. Though I do work a full-time job, I hope to build this business to offer more services and to be able to leave the corporate world and just take care of your precious pets...everyday.
Besides being bonded and insured, and I am certified in pet care, and can administer basic medications along with recognizing the signs of certain illness or medical problems. I worked with an area vet, Dr. Virginia Niebuhr for approximately 14 months, which gave a great deal of exposure to various types of animals, from puppies and kittens to elder or geriatric pets and their illnesses.
I have volunteered at the Best Friends Animal Society for a week, in which I worked with cats that were feral, cats with leukemia, geriatric, and suffered from incontinency, cats with cerebellar hypoplasia, and cats with birth defects. I found it to be a very rewarding opportunity and I suggest everyone who loves animals to take the trip. You will get more out of it than what you can ever imagine.
